Stomp! 2015 Chardonnay
Broke Fordwich, Hunter Valley
The fruit for this wine was picked in January 2015 and fermented in stainless steel tanks. It was then matured in French and American oak hogsheads, with fortnightly lees stirring. After 8 months maturation in oak, the finished wine was bottled in November 2015.
Due to the growing season this Chardonnay is slightly lighter in style than our 2014 Vintage. It has enticing stone fruit characters followed by caramel notes and a creamy, nutty, complex finish. This medium-bodied Chardonnay has great balance, smooth texture and a lengthy finish.
An ideal accompaniment to pork, chicken, creamy pasta dishes or soft creamy cheeses.
