Our Story

Stomp! Wines is a family owned and operated boutique winery based in the beautiful Hunter Valley wine region.

Owned & managed by husband & wife team, Michael & Meredith McManus, we stomp to the sound of our own drum. Our contemporary brand, stomp! says it all – relaxed, casual, maybe a little quirky, but always authentic! We remain true to ourselves and our craft as we have fun creating all our wines to capture a little of us and our stomping ground in every bottle.

The Backstory

Stomp! Wines began with a little fun experimenting and making wines in the laundry of our Sydney home. With established careers in Food & Beverage Processing we decided to give wine a go. How hard could it be? Harder than we thought. We produced wines Michael now describes as awful… but we thought were “great at the time!”

Excited by our experimentation Michael enrolled to study Winemaking and we soon moved to Broke in 1999. Here Michael worked as a Winemaker at award winning Tamburlaine Wines. He remained there until Stomp Wines was founded in 2004.

Originally based in the Broke Wine Region we moved our cellar door to its current home in Lovedale in 2017.

Stomp! Wines specialises in crafting local signature varieties – Semillon, Chardonnay, Verdelho & Shiraz and we also have a little fun with a range of alternate & innovative wines including Fiano, Sparkling Verdelho, Sparkling Chambourcin, Merlot & Fortified wines.
