Michael drinking a glass of wine

Michael – Winemaker / Cellar Door Assistant

After completing a Chemical Engineering Degree I began my career working in Food Process Engineering. Within this field I worked with many beverages from Milo, tea, coffee to tomato juice. However, my love of wine soon led me to thinking winemaking could be more fun. So, I enrolled & completed my Bachelor of Wine Science at Charles Sturt University, graduating with distinction in 2002. My initial laundry room wine experimentation has now grown to me being respected in the Valley for both my own wines, & the multiple wines I make under contract for growers & other wine brands in the Valley.

Whilst I’m mostly found in the winery, you will regularly meet me in the cellar door & certainly at all our events.

I look forward to sharing my wines with you.

Cheers, Michael

Portrait of Meredith

Meredith – Cellar Door Manager / Winemaking Assistant

Not dissimilar to Michael, I completed an Applied Science – Food Technology Degree spending my early career as a Food Technologist / Microbiologist in food manufacturing plants. I soon niched this further, spending many years in the flavour industry. Little did I know what a great asset this would be whilst serving our wines and helping people understand its flavours.

When we moved to the valley I spent many years at home with our children and working in local cellar doors & tourism businesses. Of course, I now manage our cellar door, wine club and sale of our wines.

On most occasions I will host you in the cellar door, & will be alongside Michael at all our events. I enjoy meeting all our visitors & sharing my love of all things Hunter. I especially love sharing Michael’s wines & the stories of our journey as Winemakers in the Valley.

Cheers, Meredith
