When you visit our Cellar Door, your tasting doesn’t have to stop with the wine. We are proud to host the Native food van from Thursday to Sunday, 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, bringing a sophisticated, modern Australian culinary perspective straight to our stomping ground.

As a featured stop on the Entwine Hunter Valley Food Trail, Native perfectly complements our relaxed, hands-on approach to hospitality. Led by Lucas Perry—a talented chef with a profound connection to his Aboriginal heritage and the Newcastle food scene—the menu focuses on showcasing underrated native ingredients and traditional cooking techniques.

It’s the perfect excuse to settle in, share good company, and enjoy a premium yet completely un-fussy lunch in the valley. You can even join us just for morning or afternoon tea—our indulgent Warm Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding pairs as the absolute ideal match with a glass of “Lottie”, our signature dessert-style wine.

This hosted experience includes a generous “taste” of Native’s first three signature dishes, each thoughtfully paired with Stomp! wines so you can explore how the flavours interact. Best of all, our passionate team will personally talk you through each pairing, sharing the stories behind the wine and the food.

    • Paired with: 2025 Verdelho & 2024 Chardonnay

  • Kangaroo Skewers (GF)

    • Paired with: 2022 Early Release Shiraz & 2024 Shiraz

Prefer to chart your own course? Grab any individual dish from the menu ($20 each) and pair it with a glass of your favourite Stomp! wine.

  • Creamy Crocodile Chowder Cob – $20

    • Served with torched lemon aspen feta and herbed bush butter.

  • Kangaroo Skewers (GF) – $20

    • Glazed with a sticky Stomp! Shiraz, native thyme, and served with wattle-buttered hassleback potatoes and grilled asparagus.

  • Veg Chico Roll (DF) – $20

    • Packed with roasted winter veg, caramelised onion, finger lime aioli, and outback chunky ketchup.

  • Warm Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding – $15

    • Accompanied by Davidson plum nougat cream and custard.

  • Kids Option: Bacon and Cheese Cob – $10
