Winemaking Details
The fruit for this wine was picked in January 2022 and fermented in stainless steel tanks until 4 Baume, then transferred to barrel for completion of ferment and maturation. French oak hogsheads were used with fortnightly lees stirring. After 6 months maturation in oak, the finished wine was bottled in August 2022.
Tasting Notes
This young Chardonnay has fresh, enticing citrus and stone fruit characters followed by a nutty, complex finish. With age it will develop more creaminess, butter and caramel characteristics.
An ideal accompaniment to pork, chicken, seafood, creamy pasta dishes or soft creamy cheeses.
